All Optiview recorders have a notification system, a.k.a. a buzzer, to let the user know if there is something wrong with the hard drive (HDD). Once the buzzer is triggered it will not turn off on its own until the problem has been resolved. There is, however, a way to turn it off if it has been triggered; Just remember to turn it back on once the issues has been resolved.

Main Menu Navigation

  1. Right click on the live screen, select “Main Menu” and log into your DVR.
  2. Once the GUI interface is open, click on the “Event” icon in the “Setting” sub-menu.

Event > Abnormality

  1. Using the menu on the left side of the GUI, select “Abnormality”
  2. Select the “Event Type” from the drop-down menu (i.e. No HDD).
  1. De-select the “Buzzer” box.
  2. Click “Apply” then “Save”.
  1. Select the next event type in the drop-down menu.
  2. Repeat Steps 2-4 until buzzer has de-activated.
