HOW TO EASILY SET YOUR DVR / NVR FOR DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

In case of an event, it is vital that your DVR or NVR have the correct time settings. This is important so that it’s easier to find the event, and if video back-up is needed, the time on the video cannot be disputed.

Optiview recorders can be set to automatically update for Daylight Savings Time. We “Spring Forward” this year on Sunday, March 10th at 2am.

Open Main Menu

Go to your DVR/NVRs Main Menu screen.

Go to General Settings

Select System Settings.

Date & Time Tab

Under General System Settings, select the “Date&Time” tab.

Double check your current system time settings.

Enable (click the checkbox) the DST (Daylight Savings Time) feature.

Select the DST Type of “Date”.

Start Time = 2019 – 03 – 10 @ 02:00

End Time = 2019 – 11 – 03 @ 02:00

Click “Apply”.

Click “Save”.
